Security Guard Training-Armed

This is an advanced training course for individuals seeking certification as armed security guards. Building on the foundational skills acquired in 6CRJ 200 this course focuses on the specialized knowledge and techniques required for armed security duties. Topics include firearm safety and handling, legal use of force, tactical response, and advanced threat assessment. Practical training and scenario-based exercises are integral components of this course, ensuring that students are prepared to responsibly and effectively carry and use firearms in a security context.
Program objectives:
- Demonstrate proficiency in firearm safety, handling and maintenance.
- Understand and apply legal principles regarding the use of force and firearms in security operations.
- Execute tactical firearm techniques with accuracy and control.
- Conduct advanced threat assessments and respond appropriately to armed security situations.
- Utilize scenario-based training to develop practical skills in high-pressure environments.
- Provide emergency medical response in situations involving firearms.
- Navigate ethical dilemmas and make informed decisions in armed security roles.
- Manage conflicts and de-escalate situations while armed.

- Care, cleaning, loading, & range instruction
- All applicable state and Federal Laws relating to the Ownership, storage, carry and transportation of a firearm.
